Wow, sorry!  Didn't know the site was down today!  I've been trying to get a better score on websitegrader.com and set up a redirect so that google knows that www.haleystar.com and haleystar.com are the same site.  Never set one up before and I thought I had it working right last night, gues not.......  Anywhoooo

Wow I've been busy lately, but I'm not really sure what exactly has been keeping me so busy!

So I think I'm officially addicted to twitter.  For starters, if you're not already using twitter it is absolutely one of the best networking tools I've ever used.  Not only that, but I've already met some really cool people!  For example, I've made some great new blog friends, a few cupcake connoisseurs and a store that only sells pink stuff!  (and yes, I did buy a pair of pink pumps from her, can't wait for them to arrive!) I've become friends with the guy who invented openid, lance armstrong, sprint and the S.A.News.  Actually, within about 10 minutes of lance armstrong joining twitter I knew about it and was following his updates!  Crazy!

Not only is twitter cool for meeting interesting new people, I get up to date info about current events as they're happening!  It's like I have a hundred people out running around the internet finding the latest news for me in all the topics I find most interesting.  Take today, I was working when one of my Drupal tweeps tweeted about Microsoft now shipping with Drupal.  I was like, "WHAT?!?!" then quickly proceeded to click on the link he conveniently provided in his tweet and read the article for myself.  I then was able to forward the article to my boss which I'm sure reinforced his high opinion of me as a valuable employee who stays up to date on the latest happenings in our field of work ; )
The S.A.News twitterer tweets about current traffic conditions, gas prices around town and news events as they happen. 

However, I think one of the most entertaining things to do on twitter is to log on while a presidential debate is going on.  I find it utterly amusing to just sit back and watch the tweets fly about each candidate and the topics they're debating about.  Where else can you see exactly what we the people are thinking and saying about our candidates while they're in the middle of debating!?  It ain't always pretty or nice, but it's real and it's live.
